Prof. Dr. med. Marc O. Schurr

Marc O. Schurr, MD, attended the Medical School of Eberhard Karls University Tuebingen, Germany and took his doctoral degree in the area of medical technologies. Before founding Ovesco Endoscopy he was in charge of a research programme into advanced technology of Tuebingen University and has directed a medical technology transfer center. Besides his appointment at Ovesco Endoscopy Marc Schurr is also Managing Director of novineon GmbH, an international CRO, consulting and venturing firm in the medical technology area. In the academic field he is Director of IHCI – Institute of Healthcare Industries at Steinbeis University Berlin, where he is Professor of Management and Technology in Healthcare.

Prof. Dr. med. Thomas Gottwald

Thomas Gottwald, MD, PhD, Professor of Surgery, has been appointed as member of the Executive Board of Ovesco Endoscopy AG, effective July 1st 2009. At the same time he resigned as Vice Chairmain of the Supervisory Board of the company. Before joining the Executive Management of Ovesco, Thomas Gottwald was Global Medical Director of Fresenius Kabi AG and Managing Director of Fresenius Kabi Deutschland GmbH. He also held a number of Executive Management positions with Fresenius. He was President and CEO of Fresenius Biotech GmbH, one of the most successful German Biotech Companies. He is a General and Visceral Surgeon with a strong clinical and scientific track record. He will continue his academic work as a member of the medical faculty of the University of Tuebingen.

Dipl.-Ing. Chi-Nghia Ho
Director of Engineering

Chi-Nghia Ho, in charge of R&D at Ovesco since 2006 graduated in medical engineering from Munich University of Applied Sciences. Specialized in the development and design of pioneering medical devices, he was involved in ambitious and successful projects and honoured with several renowned scientific awards. Since 2008 Chi-Nghia Ho is Director of Engineering. Besides his role in R&D he is also in charge of manufacturing Ovesco’s products.

Johan Ceuppens
Commercial Director

Johan Ceuppens has a long history in the medical field. After his bachelor's degree in Hospital Sciences and Management, he held several management positions in internationally renowned Medical Device companies. Johan can be described as experienced Sales, Marketing and General Manager with a national and international track record in developing and executing sales strategies and ambitious sales plans, directly to end-users as well as in B2B. Johan joined Ovesco Endoscopy GmbH in 2008 in the position of Commercial Director Europe.
